All This While… and our Great SIPs

Wow!!! What a platform to crib!!!

 

This last month has been the most boring part of my stay in Kolkata. Oh Yes… our great 14 week SIPs (Summer Internship Program)  is on. And most of us really don’t have much work to do until now. (Read no work to do).

“Thanda Matlab Coca Cola”…. Oh yes i am interning at Coca Cola. And its been a decent experience until now. I’ve been sleeping all the way to glory. Right from going to Dankuni, twice that is; where the main factory is located and free coke is ’supposedly served’ to meeting up with a few retailers in the market to sell a ’scheme’…. yeah they call it ‘New Dealer Activation’. I’m still waiting to meet distributors which would be the main part of my project. Apart from that its been some decent sleeping.

Though lately its been really nice catching up with friends and enjoying with my flat mates, infact we don’t sleep the entire night these days. The sleeping i talked about earlier happens to be in the morning. And surely its been a lot of cribbing too.

After cribbing about my SIP…..I would like to dedicate some space for some of my friends!!!

There are friends who do not have a proper project title yet.

There are friends who are selling new accounts who rather want to or supposed to analyse balance sheets.

There are friends whose company guide left the company.

There are friends who think their first business trips were a failure.

There are friends who think they got the worse faculty guides.

There are friends who got to sit for summer terms and prepare for supplementary exams while carrying on with their SIPs

There are friends whose company guides are kicking their asses for work.

There are friends who’ve already had alcohol with their guides.

Oh yes don’t worry there are also friends who are working on 9 to 5 jobs.

This is our great 14 week great SIP. Yes,  there is a difference how people see you when you are from a mediocre Business school and not the best one in the country. 

 

All this while I’ve been doing Nothing. And I’ve been wondering why have I left things which I used to do. Posting here is just one of them. Though, lately its been fun as I said; playing football, playing cards, and ofcourse Call of Duty. Though the best part all this while has been me and my music. Listening to all that I liked. Just being ME!!! 

“Uptown girl….na na na na na”….hehehe!!!

I deleted my facebook account. Felt it was such a waste. Not that i am anti technology but i hate the orkut scraps also. I  feel the scraps are such a shortcut for friends to send each other a ‘I miss you’ kind of a thing. Mailing someone with a personalised message is way too better. Isn’t it? For friends reading this and not amused at all… Im sorry. There would be a day soon when i say bye-bye to Orkut too. I like the professional bit of social networking though(evident from one of my posts) and thats why i kind of like LinkedIn. Im still addicted to Orkut. Checking profiles and photos and throwing comments like crazy. But yeah as they say, Its time to move on.

When?… Soon!!!

I hope the next two months of my SIP (read the great SIP) is worthwhile not only with regards to the project, but being with people whom i genuinely like. I miss some of the seniors. Had a great time with them… they know it!!! Love you guys.

P.S.: I miss Delhi. I love my Family more than ever. I miss college. I miss friends. and I’m worried for few!!!
