I don’t have a favourite Beatle. I don’t know much about them. I’m still learning. I’m getting better by the day. I’m getting obsessed. I’m a fan.
Last night I happen to watch the movie ‘I am Sam’ featuring Sean Penn as ‘Sam’. It was on my list since a long time now. And there you go. I was more excited to see it as it had its relevance on the obsession of Sam with the Beatles as well.
So it also talks about John Lennon and the number 9. Very Interesting. (Just the facts and you will find it all over the internet, but still!)
John Lennon
- John Lennon was born on 9 October 1940.
- Brian Epstein first saw John and the Beatles at Liverpool Cavern on November 9, 1961, and he secured their recording contract with EMI in London on May 9, 1962.
- His son Sean was also born 9 October (1975).
- John met Yoko on 9 November 1966; 9 years after he met Paul McCartney, and 9 years before the birth of Sean.
- John and Yoko’s apartment was located on West 72 streeet, New York City (seven plus two making nine).
- The bus he traveled on as a student each morning from his home to the Liverpool Art college had been the 72.
- John’s songs included “Revolution #9″, “#9 dream” and “one after 909″ which he had written at his mother’s home at 9 Newcastle(nine letters) Road, Wavertree (nine letters), Liverpool(nine letters).
- He was murdered late in the evening of 8 December 1980 in New York, but it was already the early hours of the morning of 9 December in his birthplace of Liverpool, England. 1980 adds up to 9. (1+9+8+0 = 18, 1+8=9).
- 9 Dream was released on John’s ninth record, in the ninth month of 1974, the song peaked at #9 in the New Musical Express Charts and the “Ah, bowakawa pousee, pousee” verse is exactly nine syllables long.
- His albums “Mind Games”and “Rock & Roll” both contain nine characters .

by the time i was born the Beatles had already broken and john Lennon already passed away, never the less my interest in music later in life lead me to the Beatles. However I’ve recently stumbled upon john Lennon’s relationship with the number 9,
as interesting as it appears i think its to random and also, todays its become almost second nature for us to look for a conspiracy or mystery, with less love and more violence in the world our minds have become the safest place to dwell often separating fact from fiction, still its rather intriguing but so is sci, oh and before i forget my brother in-law told me that the he
(J Lennon) developed the obsession with 9 after visiting a fortune teller can you comment on that at all….

Thanks for visiting mario-frank oliver. I totally understand the intriguing nature of such facts. However, we do know about the Beatles spiritual connection and Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. Also the maharishi ‘abandoning’ the band for drug usage and had asked the Beatles to leave his ‘ashram’ during their visit. Lennon unlike the other Beatles had taken this very offensively and came up with a few actions on going to the U.S. which is inappropriate to mention here.
As of now, however I do not personally know about the connection of Lennon with a fortune teller advising the use the number nine. I’ll get back if I find out.

hey i get you, so have you more connections between him and the number 9 , i have some idea’s but i think they rather far fetched, and yes im aware of “Beatles spiritual connection and Maharishi Mahesh Yogi” ….im rather intrested in finding out more
