Fresh beats….. Fresh vocals?

26 08 2008

So there is an event called ‘Rock on’ in this year’s fresh beats at my B school in which we freshers are supposed to manage the entire event.

And guess… someone is singing. Uhhh i hate to mention this here but that someone is none other than yours truly. (Although i’ve really overexaggerated my inability to sing over a few blog posts in this blog.)

By the way, I’ve been practising a couple of songs all these days. Firstly ….none other than Bryan Adam’s number ‘run to me’ and second happens to be an original self composed song called ‘my kinda gurl’. Its kind of hard singing after 3 years or more but i’m trying. I hope i come out well.

uhhhh my throat is hurting…. 3 more days to go……

Cause when the feeling’s right,

I’m gonna run all night,

I’m gonna run to you…

Yeahhhh… I’m gonna run to you….

Feel…. Vedanta(Fusion band, Delhi)

27 07 2008

I came across this number from the fusion band called Vedanta, from Ramjas college, Delhi university.

i really tried embedding the sound clip here, but guess wordpress do not allow embedding of clips other than youtube. Never mind this song is just a click away. Amazing music, Amazing lyrics.

you would feel he’s talkin about your own life.

here’s the link!!!!

Remembering the SAARC BANDS festival…

8 04 2008

The first SAARC band festival was organised in Delhi back in December (30th November -2nd December). The festival included performances of around 14 bands spread over these three days!!!

i was on my way back home from the north campus when i actually saw lots of people running over to the central park located in Connought place, Delhi. At first sight it looked to me that some artist would be performing tonight right there and so the crowd!!!

Out of sheer excitement i went up to the constable guarding the entry and asked him what had to take place… ” kayi desho ke bands yahan show karenge” was his reply!!! “ticket kitna lagega?” was what i threw back at him as i could see no counter around!!!

“itne log ghus rahe hai toh free hi hoga” was his polite reply.

As this conversation came to an end good music suddenly came up and it was the Advaita band(well known among university guys opened the show!!! they really sounded pretty good so i decided to give the show around 10 minutes or so!!!

And they actually were good!!! i decided to stay on. Suddenly Nikhil CHinnapa, the Mtv vj popped up and really entertained everyone in the crowd with his really humorous jokes (specially for the young couples cooing the park).

i didn’t have much work back home so i decided i’m gonna stay here for quite some time!!!
